St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital is a 205-bed facility that offers a wide range of services, caring for inpatients and day patients across a range of specialties including maternity, medical and surgical, rehabilitation and older adult mental health services.
Your role at St John of God Mount Lawley Hospital - Endoscopy Unit
We are currently seeking experienced Endoscopy trained Registered Nurses to join our dedicated and enthusiastic Endoscopy team at SJOG Mt Lawley.
As a member of our friendly and approachable team, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner, performing duties under the supervision and direction of the Nurse Manager/Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Nurse, to ensure that a high level and quality of patient care is delivered.
You will experience different aspects of the entire Endoscopy patient journey, which is both exciting and extremely rewarding within a fast-paced environment.

The Position
- Practice in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia.
- Maintain and develop clinical skills within the Endoscopy nurse role.
- Undertake admission of the Endoscopy patient to know the nursing and medical history of allocated patients.
- Document patients' care and progress during recovery from sedation according to hospital policies and standards.
- Acts as the patient's advocate and facilitate the rights of individuals by reporting information regarding patients to appropriate personnel.
- Participate as a team member in caring for and educating patients.
- Work alongside our VMOs within the procedure room assisting with patient care and monitoring throughout the procedure.
- Prioritises workload using resources effectively.
You will hold registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have previous demonstrated experience in Endoscopy and have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team. You will have a commitment to ongoing education and professional development whilst adhering to all applicable St John of God Health Care policies and guidelines.

- Hourly Rate: $48.55 to $63.89 per hour, (incl. 25% loading) plus 11.5% superannuation
