About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Registered Nurse - Theatre based out of our Leongatha campus that is experienced in perioperative nursing to join our team at GSHS. The position part time (0.6 EFT) with an initial 6-month term to cover a period of parental leave, however there is potential for extension or permanency.
As a Registered Nurse in Theatre at GSHS you will be responsible for:
Working rostered shifts (generally Monday to Friday) and participation in the on-call roster (nights and weekends)
Providing patient-centred nursing care in a professional manner
Monitoring the impact of nursing care
Providing a high standard of patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Recognising and maintain professional boundaries of the nurse – client relationship.
Ensuring all documentation is completed in a professional, objective and timely manner and compliance is maintained
About You
The successful applicant should possess the following:
Tertiary Qualifications as a Registered Nurse
Current registration with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioner Agency) - Registered Nurse
Demonstrated skills and experience in perioperative nursing
Current Police Check
Understanding of ANCI competencies and Codes of Ethics/Professional Conduct
Excellent communication skills including the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrate initiative and contribute to a positive team culture
Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide current satisfactory police check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
