About the role

Canonbury Fine Homes is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Malvern VIC, this role will involve hands-on carpentry work for the construction of high-quality architecturally designed renovations and new builds.

What you'll be doing

• Interpreting architectural plans and technical drawings to carry out precise carpentry work
• Performing form work, structural framing, trim and finishing work
• Collaborating with the construction team to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard
• Maintaining a safe and organised worksite at all times

What we're looking for

• Well presented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A formal Carpentry qualification
• High level of Carpentry skills with 5-10 years experience in residential construction
• Strong working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and construction techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret technical plans and drawings
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
• Ability to work autonomously on occasion as well as part of a small team environment
