Graphic Designer – Government Sector
Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid: 2–3 days in office)
Rate: $55–$65 per hour + super + agency fees
Duration: 6-month contract | 35-hour work week
Level: Equivalent to NSW Government Grade 5/6

A NSW Government department is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their Enabling Services Branch on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a creative, technically skilled designer with experience across both digital and print mediums who thrives in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will deliver high-quality, accessible content and graphic design solutions that align with the agency's corporate identity and support its communication goals. You'll play a key part in producing impactful materials such as parliamentary reports, infographics, digital content, and internal templates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce reports, publications, and digital content using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• Develop visual assets for web, social media, video, and animation
• Ensure all content meets WCAG2 accessibility standards and aligns with corporate branding
• Maintain and develop Microsoft Office templates that reflect the agency's visual identity
• Contribute to campaigns and communication initiatives, supporting both print and digital channels
• Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to meet production timelines and quality standards
• Provide expert advice on brand guidelines, accessibility, and visual design best practices

About You

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Word/PowerPoint
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG2) and user-centred design principles
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
• Government experience is not essential but highly regarded
• Experience in producing reports to Parliament or similar high-profile publications is a bonus
