About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Piggery Farm Maintenance professional to join our team at Van der Drift Sons Pty Ltd in Macorna, VIC. As a fulltime member of our agriculture and conservation team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient and safe operation of our piggery farm facilities.

What you'll be doing

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on piggery equipment, buildings, and infrastructure
• Ensuring the cleanliness and biosecurity of all piggery areas
• Assisting with the implementation of preventative maintenance programs
• Identifying and addressing any health and safety concerns
• Collaborating with the farm management team to improve operational efficiency
• Adhering to all relevant farming, environmental, and workplace regulations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in farm maintenance or a similar manual/technical role
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge of agricultural equipment operation and maintenance
• Familiarity with piggery or livestock farming practices
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in agricultural, mechanical, or trades fields
