We require an additional Dry Cleaner Laundry Assistant to join our friendly & fast paced team of experienced Dry Cleaners & Laundry Assistants. This team member will be responsible for all serviced laundry operations including sorting of laundry & dry cleaning garments, wash & fold, light pressing of garments, spot cleaning & general tidiness of the plant areas. State of the art and brand new Yamamoto, Itsumi and Barbanti equipment onsite. Previous laundry and dry cleaner experience is ideal for this role and must be available for 8 hours 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) reliable, dedicated and hard-working.

• MUST have full work rights in Australia
• MUST be available Monday to Friday for at least 8 hours a shift (usually starting from 7:30am)
• MUST be reliable and able to travel to Port Melbourne, Victoria daily

Key responsibilities for this role are, but no limited to:

• Wash & fold duties
• Sorting of laundry and dry cleaning items and garments
• Shirt cleaning duties
• Shirt machine operation
• Folding and packing of serviced laundry & doonas
• Quality control of finished garments prior to racking
• Racking of garments ready for delivery to our other stores or racking at Port Melbourne store
• Regular communication with our dry cleaner & pressing teams

Skills and experience:

• Commercial Laundry and/or Dry Cleaner experience ideal
• General cleaning knowledge
• Some garment and fabric cleaning knowledge ideal
• Ability to learn fast and work efficiently
• Ability to operate independently
• Quality control
• Attention to detail
• Reliable and available to work Monday to Friday
