Position Title: Receptionist (Casual)

The principal objective of this position is to liaise effectively with our practitioners, clients and other medical professionals to organise appointment schedules, maintain accurate financial and client records and perform other tasks to ensure a smooth and efficiently functioning practice.

Working collaboratively with practitioners and other staff, our receptionists ensure all clients receive excellent service in a professional and caring environment where confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

The receptionist is required to demonstrate a conscientious approach to service provision while displaying genuine empathy and interest in client and practitioner needs.

The position requires:

· a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

· strong computer literacy

· an attention to detail and conscientious approach to procedures and processes

· excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, and

· the ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment.

Key responsibilities:

· always be well-presented, friendly, courteous and obliging

· represent the practice in a confident and positive manner at all times

· undertake all duties in a diligent manner, with honesty and integrity

· maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and practice information

· have a vigilant attitude to accuracy, being prepared to double check as necessary

· work cooperatively and independently, and

· demonstrate the ability to prioritise and organise.

All duties are to be carried out in conjunction with the practice’s policies and procedures.
