About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Dental Assistant/Dental Nurse to join our clients team. This full-time role is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in supporting the periodontal practice's operations and providing high-quality patient care.

What you'll be doing

Providing chair-side assisting our Periodontist and Hygienists, including examinations, specialist periodontal procedures and dental implants

Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments

Maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation

Collaborating closely with the specialist and hygienists

Maintaining accurate patient and clinical records and updating treatment plans

If required, ordering and restocking dental supplies and equipment

If required, liaising with patients to schedule appointments, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service

Adhering to all dental practice policies, procedures, and safety protocols

This is a permanent full-time position

What we're looking for

Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent (or current registration or enrolment in a Dental Assisting/Nursing course)

At least 2 years previous experience as a Dental Assistant/Dental Nurse in a clinical setting (experience with periodontal/implant procedures advantageous but not essential)

Proficiency in dental procedures, equipment, and sterilisation techniques

Exceptional patient care skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, clinical and other staff

Strong organisational, multitasking and time management skills

Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment

An Australian citizen or Permanent resident
