Your Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, your responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

Assisting Dermatologists and Registrars in surgery and with biopsies

Supporting dermatologists and their patients with preparation for surgery (calls and documentation) and post treatment checks

Preparing swabs and pathology collection

Administering and monitoring medicines and intravenous therapy

Sterilisation of all medical equipment, with associated logbooks

Maintaining a clean and orderly nursing and surgical environment

Utilise Vectra M3 3D imaging system to record photography at each review or treatment, to support strong patient progress records, and use in consultation with patients.

Supporting dermatologists with accurate and complete documentation and logging

Regular follow up with patients to ensure compliance with prescribed treatment plans and check progress

Utilise medical software to keep accurate and comprehensive patient notes and records

Develop a strong relationship with your patients and their families, and ensure that you are providing a comprehensive service for all of their skin needs

Provide a high level of care and communication to patients

Maintain a clean, tidy nurse station and surgical environments

Experience

Prior experience as a dermatology nurse

Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to prioritise

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
