What you'll be doing
The Handyman position supports the trades team with maintenance activities, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective service delivery. The role aligns with WSLHD's strategic goals and adheres to all relevant legislative and asset management guidelines.
In this dynamic role you will be:
- Assisting the trade team with maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with NSW Health asset management guidelines.
- Supporting meeting statutory, legislative, and code requirements.
- Contributing to Blacktown Hospital’s strategic and business objectives.
- Delivering trade services in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience working with power tools and machinery.
- Demonstrated experience with following safe work procedures such as working at heights.
- Proven ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team based environment and familiarity with standard trade terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and undertake work in a busy environment with limited supervision.
- Ability to clearly communicate in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from trades staff and management.
