Job Title: Part-Time Accountant

Position Type: Part-Time (3 days in office - Tuesday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm)

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Plus Super Pro Rata

Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, the Part-Time Accountant will oversee various financial accounting activities, including:

Preparation of Income Tax Returns (e.g., Investment Properties, CGT)

End of Year Financial Statements for SMEs & SMSFs

Business and Instalment Activity Statements (BAS & IAS)

Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) Preparation

Prompt and accurate client query resolution

Liaison with ATO and third parties on client matters

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years of Australian public practice experience

Familiarity with ACCESS HandiSoft preferred

Proficiency in Cloud and Desktop-based software (Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Reckon)

Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure

Effective time management and organizational abilities

Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting or Advanced Diploma in Business/Accounting (TAFE)

Australian or NZ citizenship or permanent residency required
