We have 2 x Part time positions available - an intermediate and a senior accountant delivering exceptional results for our clients. Must LOVE numbers and attention to detail essential. If you think you can do BOTH roles in a full time position - we urge you to apply!
Note: This can be a full time position or we can split this role to find amazing accountants who prefer part time work.

Both roles are part time (20-25 hours/week - negotiable) OR 1 x full time role in our Warana office
What you will be doing each day…
Working closely with the directors, you will have the opportunity to work on and manage a portfolio of quality business clients who need practical and results driven advice.
You will also support our directors on more complex client groups and have exposure to a diverse range of industries and problem solving including succession planning, restructuring, high level CGT advice and business advisory.
The intermediate role predominantly includes compliance processing, including preparation, review and analysis of financial statements and tax returns.
The senior accountant role is ideally suited to someone who would like to progress to a client manager overseeing your own portfolio of clients.
Both roles have accelerated career advancement opportunities for the right person.
Responsibilities and day-to-day activities will include:
Process financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts to query/trial balance stage;
Provide tax and business advice including meeting with new clients;
Understand basic taxation legislation applicable to individuals and small businesses;
Ability to research and proactively seek solutions;
Produce accurate, efficient and “best practice” work supported with working papers;
Perform high level bookkeeping duties for a small number of clients;
Work with our directors who will mentor you for extended technical knowledge, review your work and provide you with experience and exposure to new and different scenarios to grow your knowledge.

Experience
You:
Have a minimum of 2+years Australian Public Practice Experience
Are CA/CPA qualified or working towards this (not essential)
Excellence in communication and building relationships (you're a people person)
Experience with Xero, XPM & Handisoft highly regarded
Value what it is to be a team and possess the ability to work collaboratively with peers
Have a bright, positive and personable nature
This is a part time (20-25 hours negotiable) or a combined FTE role in our Warana office and a salary commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
