About the role

Neurospine Institute is seeking a motivated and experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team in Subiaco, WA on a part-time basis. In this role, you will have a vital role in our accounts receivable process ensuring timely collections, contributing to the overall financial health and operations of our healthcare organisation.

What you'll be doing

Enhancing the accounts receivable process, including medical billing, following up on outstanding accounts and resolving discrepancies

Providing excellent customer service to patients, responding to inquiries and addressing any concerns

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable activities

Assisting with the preparation of billing and debtor reports and analysis, utilising our Genie practice management system and Excel

Collaborating with the finance team to verify balances and recover outstanding accounts from patients, health funds and Medicare.

Ensuring compliance with all Medicare and health industry regulations and requirements

What we're looking for

Proven experience in an accounts receivable or credit control role, preferably within the healthcare industry

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Proficiency in using practice management software (preferred) and spreadsheet applications (required)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with patients and health funds

A results driven focus and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion

Timely and accurate actioning of patient claims
