The Awaba Waste Management Facility Site Leading Hand is a member of the Waste Operations team and is responsible for assisting the Site Coordinator in the day-to-day operational management of all aspects of the facility. The role assists the Site Coordinator in providing leadership to the Awaba Waste Management Facility Team, and management, to ensure the sites operational performance achieves or exceeds compliance requirements.

You hold a Certificate IV in Business, Leadership & Management, Waste Management or relevant supervisory experience
We are looking for an individual to join the team who is passionate about providing high-level customer service while supervising and organising staff, contractors, consultants and plant
Being a transformational leader, you encourage your team to see what they are capable of fostering a supportive and cohesive team ensuring the right coaching and guidance is provided at all times
Having previous operational management of a waste management facility with comprehensive understanding of WHS legislation and relevant legislation and guidelines will see stand out from the crowd
You welcome any challenge with your flexible approach while organising and prioritising your workload to meet deadlines with a positive work ethic and a “can-do” attitude!
You’re driven to achieve the best possible outcome always thinking outside the box
Displaying ability to control and formulate budgets, relevant computer skills and effective communication
Being passionate about working together to meet a common goal your teamwork skills are second to none.
Having a Class C drivers’ licence, WorkCover General Induction Card is essential

This position provides:
Competitive salary from $76,463 to $88,862 per year + 12% superannuation
Industry-leading 12 per cent superannuation
Enterprise Agreement pay increases apply
Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range
Adverse working conditions allowance
38-hour working week with nine-day fortnight
4 additional concessional leave days after 12 months service
4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
