Position Overview

As Manager People & Capability, you’ll do more than manage day to day HR, you’ll be the architect of our organisational culture. Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services, this is your chance to lead with purpose, challenge the status quo, and embed a contemporary people vision that empowers our people to be their best.

With a team of passionate and capable professionals across Work Health & Safety, P&C Services, and Business Partnering, you’ll provide strategic guidance while enabling others to lead and grow. The role includes five direct reports within a broader department of twelve, and you’ll champion bold, fresh ideas to optimise how we support and lead our workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Strategically: Influence and shape strategic workforce initiatives, embedding a clear people vision across the organisation

Grow Capability: Develop leaders and teams with a strong focus on organisational development, continuous learning, and high performance

Champion Culture: Inspire trust, authenticity, and a positive workplace culture through contemporary people practices

Drive Innovation: Challenge traditional approaches, seek opportunities for improvement, and optimise how we attract, support, and retain talent

Partner for Impact: Be a trusted advisor to the Executive and Senior Leadership teams, ensuring our people and safety strategies align to our organisational goals

Support Safety: Provide leadership to our WHS team and build a strong culture of wellbeing, risk awareness, and proactive safety management

What We’re Looking For

A bold, progressive leader with a passion for people and performance

Significant experience in leading high performing P&C teams, ideally in complex or large scale environments

A track record of transformational leadership, someone who thrives on change and improvement

Deep understanding of contemporary HR, workforce planning, culture, and engagement strategies

Strong influencing and stakeholder skills, you know how to bring people on the journey

Courage, compassion, and the ability to lead through uncertainty with a calm, considered voice

Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check.
