ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to step into a vital role covering maternity leave through to February 2026. In this hands-on role, you’ll manage all accounts payable functions – ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made efficiently – while contributing to continuous process improvements and maintaining great relationships with suppliers.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years in a similar accounts payable role – essential
Qualifications in accounting or finance – desirable
Skills & Competencies:
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Thrives in fast-paced environments and meets deadlines
Proficient in ERP systems and general computer applications
Excellent time management and organisational skills
A proactive approach with a mindset for continuous improvement

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Accurately process and code supplier invoices
Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure timely approvals
Schedule and prepare pay runs in line with company terms
Act as the first point of contact for creditor enquiries
Manage and process employee expense claims
Maintain and update the vendor database
Perform supplier statements and credit card reconciliations
Provide support for month-end journals and reporting
Produce Aged Payables reports and other required summaries
Recommend and implement AP process improvements
Support the Finance Manager and uphold team accountability
