Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to commence on February 3rd on a four month temporary contract.

Our Client, based in the north-east, is a well-respected organisation which is experiencing an ever-increasing workload while undergoing transformational change.

This is a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer who can hit the ground running and be a part of a motivated finance team with a supportive & collaborative culture!

The Role

Reporting to a motivational and inspirational Finance Manager you will be responsible for end-to-end accounts payable duties.

Some typical duties will involve:

• High volume processing of supplier invoices
• Coding and matching invoices to Purchase Orders
• Supplier & internal query resolution
• Reconciliations
• Assist with overdue invoices and potential duplicate payments
• Recommend improvements to processes & procedures
• Assist with internal reporting

This position will give you exposure to a large organisation undergoing a period of growth & change.

Your Profile

To be successful you will have proven experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 3 years' experience. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

• Strong accounts payable experience preferably in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and hit KPIs

Essential for this opportunity will be proven experience with a large ERP System with Oracle experience being highly regarded.
