A local government council is seeking a WHS Project Manager who has substantial experience in the implementation, review and analysis of WH&S Management systems and programs.

About the Role

• Manage the rollout of the WHS Management System and online WHS platform, including audits, training, and policies.
• Oversee external WHS audits, ensure legal compliance, and review due diligence with executives.
• Support managers and staff with WHS advice in partnership with the Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner.
• Work with teams and stakeholders to implement WHS processes, including contractor safety.
• Deliver quality outcomes, follow ethical standards, and maintain records using Council’s system.

Skiils & Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in the areas of WH&S (Diploma/degree) and extensive industry experience.
• Substantial experience in the implementation, review and analysis of WH&S Management systems and programs.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement WH&S legislation and regulations as well as codes of practice and workplace policies and procedures.
• Strong project management experience with specific experience implementing online systems (experience with online safety systems will be an advantage).
• Ability to deliver WH&S training to a range of employees.
• Sound knowledge of and capacity to implement EEO, WH&S, ethical work practices and cultural diversity principles.
