Our client, a large Federal government department based in Belconnen, ACT, requires an experienced Project Manager for a 12 + 12 month contract.

The Project relates to the implementation of ICT in partnership with internal and external delivery providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project activities, inputs, and outputs.
• Lead and direct cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities, incorporating them into planning, decision-making, and priority setting.
• Analyse project performance, develop strategies to achieve outcomes, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and prepare project documents, reports, and submissions, including those for higher delegate and committee consideration.

Qualifications

• Prince2 Practitioner Certification.
• AIPM CPPM and/or CPSPM Certification.

One or more of the following:

• Certificate IV Project Management Practice.
• Diploma of Project Management.
• Advanced Diploma of Project Management.

Selection Criteria

• 3-10 years project-related experience and/or Project Manager role.
• Able to apply project management methodologies and practices, e.g. Prince2 and PMBOK.
• Proficiency using project management tools.
• SFIA skill categories but not limited to: PRMG 4/5, REQM 4/5, RLMT 4/5, and BENM 4/5.
