The opportunity
Vacenti is seeking a full-time Facility Manager to join our team located at Mount Gravatt and surrounding suburbs. This role will report to and working closely with the Area Manager to ensure that key resident outcomes are achieved.

The Facility Manager works collaboratively with all levels of senior executives, clinical management team, frontline staff, and relevant external agencies, to ensure that exceptional care and service are provided to our residents, while adhering to the Vacenti's values, aged care quality standards, policies and procedures.

A key deliverable of this role is ensuring the delivery of quality person centered care, aligned to Vacenti’s PERSON values, within the context of regulatory and financial compliance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.

Stay informed on the changes relating to the industry and ensure that all employees are trained adequately to meet the requirements of those changes.

Manage, coordinate, and supervise all departments and employees at the facility.

Implement policies and procedures that contribute to the well-being and comfort of our residents.

Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided to residents.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and deliver person-centred care through creating personalized care plans.

Develop and manage budgets for facility operations, optimizing resource allocation.

Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities to ensure a well-maintained and safe physical environment.

Develop and implement emergency response plans, conducting regular drills and training for staff.

Communicate effectively with all staff, residents, families, and stakeholders.

Implement quality assurance programs to enhance the overall quality of care.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.

Implement and monitor infection control measures within the facility.

Identify opportunities for growth and improvement, while developing and implementing strategic plans for the facility's long-term success.

To be successful in this position you will need:

Experience in a similar role with relevant tertiary qualifications preferably management or business.

You must be a clinician by background, with recent residential aged care facility management experience.

Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.

A personal philosophy and practical approach that is compatible with Vacenti values which ensure respect for the dignity, privacy and individuality of residents and staff.

Detailed knowledge of Aged Care legislation including the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation process, AN-ACC, electronic management systems and WH&S.

Proven leadership skills and a proven record of exceptional service delivery.

Highly developed communication skills and effective interpersonal skills; and sound business acumen.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the right to live and work in Australia. If you are successful, you will be required to obtain a national police clearance prior to commencement.
