Position Purpose
The Site Services & Inventory Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the operational readiness and compliance of all five Direct Endoscopy facilities. This hands-on role involves performing minor, non-technical maintenance tasks (e.g. furniture assembly, basic upkeep), coordinating repairs requiring licensed trades, and managing clinical and non-clinical stock across sites. The role is critical in maintaining a safe, functional, and well-supplied environment that supports both staff and patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Maintenance
· Perform minor, non-technical maintenance tasks (e.g. carpentry, painting, basic repairs, furniture assembly) Coordinate external qualified trades for technical repairs (e.g. plumbing, electrical) Gardening and basic external upkeep as required Proactively identify and report site issues or risks; escalate as appropriate Coordinate and supervise contractors for specialised maintenance tasks Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and servicing activities Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with WHS standards
Stock Management & Logistics
· Receive and distribute deliveries across multiple locations Maintain minimum stock levels for clinical and non-clinical supplies Organise and optimise storeroom spaces at each site Assist with regular stocktakes and support accurate inventory tracking Identify usage trends and recommend ordering efficiencies
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)
· Support WHS compliance across all sites, identifying and mitigating risks Ensure safe storage of supplies and equipment in line with legislative and clinical standards
Participate in audits, emergency procedures, and risk assessments as required Report hazards, incidents or unsafe practices to the appropriate personnel
Key Relationships
Internal: Operations, Clinical Management, Procurement, Administration
External: Contractors, Suppliers, Equipment Technicians
Essential Criteria
· Demonstrated experience in general maintenance or handyman-style roles Previous experience in inventory or stock control in a clinical or warehouse setting Sound knowledge of WHS principles and previous experience applying them in the workplace Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and travel across multiple sites Strong communication and interpersonal skills Current valid Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle Willingness to undergo relevant police checks
Desirable Criteria
· Experience in a healthcare or day surgery environment Basic understanding of infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols Familiarity with procurement systems or stock management tools
