Assistant Director of Quality and Innovation

Full Time, ongoing position

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, this position works collaboratively with senior leadership across the organisation to address the needs of consumers, staff and key stakeholders. The primary focus of the role is to embed a culture focused on safety, quality and excellent care.

This role is responsible for:

Leadership and professional governance of matters relating to clinical quality and safety, risk, improvement and consumer experience and engagement.

Contributing to the strategic planning process by planning, setting and monitoring clear targets and ensuring that quality projects are linked to the goals of REDHS’ strategic and quality plans

Planning, developing and promoting the adoption of digital health solutions in alignment with REDHS strategic objectives

Leading a team to delivery on the Quality Operational Plan

To be successful in this role you will have:

Demonstrated experience in leading teams, a high level working knowledge and understanding of clinical governance, accreditation standards, patient safety and clinical risk management

Understanding of the quality principles in consumer experience with ability to drive continuous improvement

You will be required to have or obtain all of the following:

Current Police Check

Working With Children Check

Key Personnel

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) is situated in Rochester which is the gateway to the mighty Murray River region and close to the regional centres of Echuca, Bendigo and Shepparton.

We are an integrated rural health service, providing a broad range of acute, residential aged care, preventative and primary health programs to a population of approximately 8,600 people in the Campaspe and Bendigo Shires.

We enjoy a strong relationship with our community and we are focused on delivering services that meet their needs.

Following the flood in October 2022, we commenced an extensive rebuild of our facility which was completed in January 2025.
