My client has one of the biggest names in the world for construction machinery and highly specialised mobile equipment. They have over 30 offices listed throughout the world and stand at the forefront of industry. With three major manufacturing facilities listed in Asia, Europe and USA they can supply high technical products to any key project that requires highly technical earthmoving solutions. Backed by head office in Europe they have been providing manufactured equipment since the early 60’s. They are seeking a highly experienced workshop Manger that has run and technical operation and understands the importance of customer service. Do you have the experience and management exposure to lead from the Front?

Job Opportunity:

·Managing our long-standing team of 8x Technicians.

·First point of contact for customers.

·Fault Finding and Diagnosing Root Causes for all machinery bought into the workshop.
Occasional site visits to customers.

·Most time spent off the tools and allocating time and resources to fixing machinery.
A very small amount of time spent on the tools at extremely busy times in the workshop.

·Pricing and Quoting Used equipment builds and supporting rental fleet.

·Communicate with Logistics teams and parts department in the build of new products but also in supporting key customers within the field.

·Cover all management meetings and support internal and external sales teams in providing ongoing problems with new machines

·Work with the other branches and communicate with key customers on completion times and oversee key projects on and off site.

·Visit customers on the field and work through issues that occur through workshops or field issues.

·Lead, mentor and develop all staff within the branch, whilst reviewing roles internally and looking at ways to get the best out of your team.

·Complete all job orders and make sure that each job is completed to highest standard.

·HSE and OHS are met to the highest levels and the workshop is run professionally.

·Oversee and deliver on all PDI new builds of equipment.

Working Hours - Standard hours of 7.30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

· Trade Qualification as Cert 3 Mobile Plant Mechanic.

· Extensive experience in service and maintenance working on Mobile machinery.

· Experience working on mobile hydraulics.

· Excellent customer management experience

· Experience with either field based or workshop-based teams.

· Strong Customer Communication Skills.

· Good phone Manner

Salary Package –

· Hourly Rate - $65:00phr

· Company Car

· Superannuation 11.5%

· Overtime rates and Penalties

· Phone & Laptop

· Monday to Friday
