About the role

Hawthorne Coffee, a popular café in Hawthorne QLD, is seeking a full-time Barista & Social Media Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As the Barista & Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages while also managing the café's online presence and engaging with our growing customer community, this is not your average barista role letting you mix things up on a day to day basis.

What you'll be doing

Preparing high-quality coffee drinks to delight our customers

Ensuring the café's coffee equipment is well-maintained and operating efficiently

Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors

Developing and executing social media strategies to promote the café and engage with our audience

Creating captivating visual and written content for the café's social media channels

Monitoring and responding to customer inquiries and feedback on social media in a timely manner

Collaborating with the management team to enhance the café's online presence and brand image

What we're looking for

At least 2 years of experience as a barista, with a passion for crafting premium coffee beverages

Strong knowledge of coffee equipment, brewing techniques, and current industry trends

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide a exceptional café experience

Proficiency in social media platforms, content creation, and community management

Creativity, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team

A keen interest in the Hospitality & Tourism industry, particularly in the cafe sector
