Apunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service that provides culturally appropriate, family centred, primary health care services to the communities and people of Cape York.
About the Opportunity
The eHealth Administrator role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in managing Electronic Medical Records and other health-related applications. As a user-focused position, it involves providing support to users of Apunipima's Electronic Medical Records. Additionally, the role requires delivering basic training to users and handling administrative tasks related to health information management.
This position is identified where, under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community.
About You
We are seeking applicants who have:
3 year(s) experience in providing first level support for software applications.
Experience using Microsoft Office programs and other common user applications (e.g. Adobe Acrobat).
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to end users.
Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to work and share knowledge and expertise in a team environment.
Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs.
Ideally you will
Hold a Certificate IV in Business Administration or Health Information.
Have experience in using and supporting Electronic Medical Record applications (in particular Best Practice).
Competent use of Electronic Health Record for account management, patient visit logging and other non-clinician specific functions Basic understanding of Medicare, Immunisation and other Health Repositories.
Mandatory requirements
Current Queensland Drivers Licence
Current Blue Card positive notice or exemption, or willing and able to obtain prior to commencement
Current AFP National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
Must be willing and have the ability to travel in Cape York either by light aircraft or 4WD as required.
