About the Position
The Waste Services Team within the Fleet, Civil & Waste section has responsibilities for performing a wide range of duties related to the operation of complex heavy motorised equipment to provide services within that section. We are seeking a person with appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to fulfill the essential criteria of the Waste Services Team Member position.
About You
The Waste Services Team member role is essential for keeping our city clean and tidy, every day we have a commitment to deliver core services of hard waste and illegally dumped rubbish collections along with street sweeping and emergency clean-up services. You will be an individual with a commitment to customer service, ability to work independently as well as within a team, have a strong work ethic and a desire to improve the area for our community.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence and proven experience driving heavy vehicles.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to perform physical work such as operating heavy equipment and manual handling.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Exercise initiative and judgment within clearly established work practices and procedures.
- Ability to prioritise and organise time to meet conflicting demands.
