About the service

This beautiful 3-year-old service caters to more than 170 children at full occupancy. The service offers a very generous amount of space for children to roam and explore. The purpose-built centre features six large rooms and age-appropriate outdoor play areas (with cubby houses, real sandpits, and little gardens).

Our client strongly believes in fostering inclusivity, creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning in every child. Our passionate educators create engaging experiences tailored to each child's unique interests and developmental needs. With a focus on play-based learning and hands-on exploration, we encourage children to discover the world around them while building essential skills for life. This helps establish strong connections and communication and provides more opportunities to build stronger relationships with the children, families, and the community.

As a Centre Director, you will be responsible for the daily running of the centre. Working closely with families and children, mentoring and supporting the teams and organising and running tours with your Assistant Director. Fortunately, there is a low staff turnover, as all staff, from Cert III Educators to ECTs, are paid above award and constantly recognised/supported for their hard work and impact on keeping the service running efficiently.

This service delivers an accredited kindergarten program. These programs are specifically created for four to five-year-olds, equipping them with skills to work independently and with their friends as they prepare for primary school.

What we are looking for

As the Centre Manager, your responsibilities extend beyond operational management to cultivate a nurturing and vibrant workplace environment. Your leadership profoundly influences the educational path of the children and staff in your care.

We seek a seasoned leader with experience in similar roles, showcasing adept communication skills to rally, inspire, and empower a team of dedicated early childhood educational professionals who will be instrumental in crafting the learning atmosphere for our children and building strong family connections.

You will have strong business acumen, be quick to make decisions and be a source of inspiration to every team member.

About you:

At least a Diploma in Early Childhood or above

At least two/three years of experience in a similar role

Strong NQS, EYLF, QKLG, MTOP and CCS knowledge.

Positive experience(s) with Assessment and Rating, including developing and maintaining a QIP

Knowledge/experience on how to successfully build occupancy rates

A natural ability to lead, develop and empower the team

Exemplary communication skills

An ability to think outside the box to solve problems
