Remuneration: $127,150 – $144,444 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
The Manager Aboriginal Mental Health Services leads both the cultural and operational direction of care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). The role ensures culturally responsive, strategic, and high-quality mental health service delivery. You will also be responsible for:
- Providing expert leadership in culturally appropriate mental health service planning and delivery.
- Advising on strategy, governance, finance, policy, and workforce matters affecting Aboriginal mental health.
- Developing and drives initiatives that enhance social and emotional wellbeing for Aboriginal communities.
- Collaborating with Aboriginal organisations and health partners to improve care outcomes.
- Leading Aboriginal mental health workforce development, mentoring, and culturally safe practice.

Selection Criteria:
- This is an identified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander position, and the applicant should be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent (pursuant to Section 14 (d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act NSW 1977).
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in working with Mental health and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities preferably in Western Sydney, with a strong working knowledge and understanding of the cultures and social and emotional wellbeing issues and its impact on the Aboriginal community.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in Managing and leading a team and must have tertiary qualifications in a health-related field and/or equivalent experience working in management.
- Proven ability in managing and establishing partnerships by working in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders including both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to implement change in a multi-faceted organization with creativity, innovation and overcome obstacles to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mental health outcomes by meeting the KPI’s in service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, always working within scope of role including ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
- Experience in providing high level written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated competency in the brief, responding to Ministerial, compiling external and internal reports, providing advice on strategic and policy documents and proficient use of computer-based administration systems.
- Must possess a driver’s licence.
