Are you passionate a mental health professional looking to make a real impact? We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our Goulburn Mental Health Hub, providing clinical oversight and support to our team delivery essential mental health services to the community.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician such as a Psychologist, Counsellor, Mental Health Nurse, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker (AHPRA Registered), or Mental Health Social Worker (AASW registered). This position will be responsible for providing high-quality health and wellbeing services to individuals, families, and communities. This role may encompass various service delivery responsibilities including but not limited to psychology, psychological therapies and counselling; psychometric testing and assessment; brief interventions; intake assessment; and group therapies. Service delivery may include both in-person and telehealth supports, with consumers across the lifespan accessing the Goulburn Mental Health Program (GMHH). Providing clinical oversight for the GMHH, serving as the primary point of contact for clinical escalations.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to determine the mental health needs of adult consumers.
Collaborate with consumers to develop personalised treatment plans based on evidence-based interventions.
Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to address a range of mental health concerns.
Deliver crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
Conduct regular progress reviews, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust intervention plans as necessary.
Collaborate and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.
Engage in case management activities, including referrals, advocacy, and coordination of services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with organisational policies and legal requirements.

Requirements
A minimum 3 years’ (FTE) clinical experience working with a variety of mental health presentations across the lifespan.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body (e.g., AHPRA, AASW, ACA or PACFA)
Proven experience in providing evidence-based intervention and case management in a mental health setting.
Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research and best practices in mental health.
Current Blue Card and National Criminal Check.
Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle to assist community-based work as needed.
Desirable Criteria
Approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia, or clinical supervision experience if holding other forms of allied health registration.
Experience delivering services via telehealth.
Current unrestricted Driver's Licence and willingness to travel as part of this role.
