General Practice Nurse – Casual Position

We are a dynamic, private billing general practice located in the heart of Perth / Northbridge, WA, seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our professional team with General practice or Hospital experience.

We aim to be a one stop General practice offering variety of services as well as minor procedure such as tongue tie/lip tie, skin cancer excision, cauterizations, cryotherapy and many more.

About the Role
As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible but not limited to below

- Nursing services including wound care, vaccinations (childhood, adult, travel, flu), and injections including Immunotherapy
- Perform clinical tasks such as ECGs, spirometry, ABI, pap smear and patient triage
- Assist GPs in minor surgical and Cosmetic procedures as well as Allergy testing
- Coordinate CDM, including GPMPs, TCAs, and health assessments.
- Manage recalls, reminders, and vaccine cold chain processes.
- Provide education and support to patients on various health-related issues.
- Pathology and Medical supply order and stock control

- Medical Equipment maintenance
- Maintaining the treatment room and consult room to be patient ready
- Autonomously managing TR appointments and doctor’s appointments
- Actively supporting doctor’s appointment where required
- All eligible patient record to be uploaded to MHR for nurse appointments
- Private AIR upload
- Contributions to practice quality improvement

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this role

Current unrestricted AHPRA registration (RN)

Current CPR certificate

Immunisation certification

Liability Insurance

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Professional work ethic & presentation

Ability to create, instruct and perform protocol

Strong team player who can work closely with our admin team as well as our doctor

Excellent verbal and written skills in English are essential

Meticulous documentation skills are necessary to ensure accurate records and adherence to legal requirements

Have the ability to manage client expectations, as we are an private practice customer service skill is essential

Desirable Criteria
- Extensive general practice or hospital experience
- Solid understanding of GP’s MBS items and at minimum PN’s MBS items
- Strong Microsoft skills and ability to work fully digitised practice.
