Provide high level, competent written legal advice and drafting in relation to departmental business activities and contentious issues, often of a complex and sensitive nature and which may be the subject of litigation, which are under consideration by the Attorney-General, Director-General and other senior departmental officers.
Provide advocacy services in courts and tribunals for appropriate matters referred from departmental business units; and assist more senior lawyers with complex advocacy matters; represent LAA or DoJ in internal or external meetings and build strong connections with DoJ clients and Crown Law.
