About the role

Majestic YoungPlants' is seeking an experienced Seeding Machine Manager to join our operation in Healesville, Victoria. As a full-time position, you will oversee the day-to-day management and operation of our seeding machine and media mixing equipment.

What you'll be doing

Operation of seeding machines to ensure high-quality plant propagation

Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of seeding equipment to maintain optimal performance

Monitor and adjust seeding parameters to achieve desired germination

Train and provide guidance to machine operators to promote best practices

Collaborate with the production team

Maintain detailed records of- machine usage, sowing schedules and seeds, tray and media inventory

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

General nursery and propagation duties

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within the horticulture industry

Strong technical understanding of seeding machinery and propagation processes

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and optimise performance

Effective communication skills to work with a team of machine operators

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation

Ability to work collaboratively to meet production deadlines

Relevant experience or certifications in horticulture, agriculture, specifically plant propagation
