Machine Operator

Selection Steel Trading is one of Australia's leading sheet and coil steel distributors with operations in five states.

With our business entering a growth phase, we are looking for a new production team member (Shearline) operating out of our Dandenong South site on day shift.

Initially the role will be to work alongside a senior machine operator and training can / will also be provided in the operation of the Slitting lines to ensure excellent career progression.

The business highly values multi-skilling and as such the successful candidate will demonstrate a flexible approach to work duties and an acceptance of job rotation throughout all production lines and warehousing.

The ideal person for this position will also demonstrate good communication and problem solving skills, an excellent work ethic, genuine interest in quality control and willingness to adhere to safe work practices.

The role is of a physical nature so an energetic approach is vital to your success.

Experience in machine operation and warehousing are considered desirable but not essential, a current forklift license is essential.
