St Francis De Sales Regional College is a Catholic Co-educational Day and Weekly Boarding School providing a comprehensive education across Years 7-12, for students from Leeton, Narrandera and surrounding rural areas in the Riverina.

Your New Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the Boarding Kitchen. Your responsibilities will revolve around maintaining cleanliness, assisting the Kitchen Supervisor and ensuring the smooth flow of food preparation that caters to the Boarding students and Supervisors.. This position requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced team environment.

Temporary Part-Time, Position
Role to Commence ASAP until Friday 26th September 2025
Work Schedule: 22 hours per week
Monday 7am - 12:30pm (30 mins unpaid break) 3pm - 6:30pm
Tuesday 7am - 12:30pm (30 mins unpaid break)
Thursday 9am - 6:30pm (1 hour unpaid break)

Salary: Level 1 $24.92 (Averaged - Works Term Time Only)
Selection Criteria
Alignment to the values and ideals of the Catholic Ethos
Current Food Handling Certificate
A willingness to learn and proactive attitude
Outstanding professionalism, including customer service skills
Willingness to complete required studies online in a timely manner, as required
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferred
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
A capacity to maintain confidentiality
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under pressure
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings if require
Current NSW Working With Children Check
Successful Candidate to Undergo a National Criminal History Check and Functional Assessment
