About the role

The Squealing Pig Butchers' is seeking an experienced cook or chef to join our team at our butcher shop in Burpengary, QLD. As a full-time cook/chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our customers, ensuring a consistently excellent dining experience.

What you'll be doing

Preparing a range of delicious meals from our range of high quality meats , locally sourced ingredients

Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen

Collaborating with the team to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes

Assisting with the organisation and stocking of the kitchen

Providing exceptional customer service

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment

Formal culinary training or qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)

must have a food safety supervisors cert that is current from an rto or willing to obtain one

Excellent time management and multitasking skills to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the development of new menu items

Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals using fresh and local ingredients
