Mother Duck Bellbowrie is an early childhood long day-care Service that is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable cook/chef to join our team!

The main aim of the role is to prepare, and deliver meals to our children of a high quality, and to maintain a healthy and clean environment.

We provide home cooked meals to all our children for morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea all cooked fresh on site in our kitchen. Mother Duck has its very own Enterprise Agreement which includes these terms:

• Above Award wages for all employees
• 18.5% for Qualified Educators
• 16.5% for Educators Working Towards Qualification
• 30% for 4 Year Qualified Early Childhood Teachers

(Note: current above award wages are inclusive of the ECEC Worker Retention Payment, which is 10% of the relevant award).

• Reimbursement for First Aid and CPR training
• Reimbursement for Blue Card
• Payment for attendance at mandatory staff meetings and training
• 3 hours minimum non-contact time per week for relevant roles
• $50 shoe allowance per year
• 95% childcare discount: Educators who are eligible for CCS will receive a 95% discount on their gap fee for any day which they are working, and their child is attending the same Mother Duck service

What we are looking for:

• Ability to maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment,
• A love of preparing and serving nutritious meals from our menu designed by our in house nutritionist,
• Knowledge of, or willing to learn the developmental and nutritional needs of children and infants
• Holds a food safety supervisor qualification or willing to obtain supported by us,
• Ability to role model and promote the health, safety and wellbeing of all children and Educators that aligns with our policy and procedure when working in the kitchen,
• Holds a current working with children check,
• Ability to maintain, and order stock, or be willing to learn how to use our easy online systems.
