Snowy 2.0 is the next generation of the iconic Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, and construction of this major pumped-hydro project is well underway. Once complete, the Scheme will provide 2000 megawatts of dispatchable, on-demand renewable power and approximately 350,000 megawatt hours of large-scale energy storage to the Australian National Electricity Market.

Job Summary - Site supervisor, Subcontractors

Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Site Supervisor, Subcontractors plays a crucial role in overseeing all commercial activities related to subcontractors. Key responsibilities include budget oversight, adherence to commercial agreements and subcontractor relationship management.

Key responsibilities
•Understand subcontractor’s scope of work: contract specifications, drawings and schedules
•Identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plan and escalate critical issues
•Supervise subcontractors’ daily activities and ensure work is executed as per business priorities (HSE, quality, schedule and budget) and contractual requirements.
•Issue non-compliance-report (NCR) to subcontractors
•Coordinate change management process and manage claims with the subcontractors;
•Manage weekly meetings with subcontractors (progress, performance, risks and opportunities, contractual issue review, invoicing, etc.) and issue minutes of meeting;

Education
•Diploma in electrical or mechanical, or related field.

Skills
•Ability to drive project success with a focus on HSE, quality, schedule, and budget.
•Previous demonstrated experience in Construction Management.
•Collaborative team player with a customer- and people-oriented approach, accountable, and solution-driven.
•Proactive mindset in anticipating challenges and delivering strategic problem-solving solutions.
•Fully computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
•Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English in an international team environment.

Site conditions
•Roster of 14 days in, 7 days out.
•Camp accommodation, food etc is provided.
•Salary uplift (25%) while on site.
