About the Role

This role plays a vital part in modernising secure email infrastructure as part of the Digital Uplift Program. You’ll lead the design and implementation of Microsoft Exchange Online solutions and Secure Email Gateways to improve resilience, security, and performance across government systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of Exchange Online and secure email solutions
• Drive modernisation work packages in alignment with architectural frameworks
• Develop technical documentation, including designs and implementation plans
• Implement and test email infrastructure upgrades with internal SMEs
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security architecture and policies
• Present solutions to technical governance and review boards

Skills & Experience

• Expertise with Microsoft Exchange Online and hybrid configurations
• Hands-on experience with Fortra (formerly Clearswift) Secure Email Gateways
• Strong technical documentation and solution presentation skills
• Experience implementing protective markings and secure email policies
• Knowledge of email security including encryption, DLP, and compliance
• Familiarity with DNS, SMTP, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configurations

Existing Negative Vetting 1 security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
