What is our Coordinator of Nursing Education role?

The Coordinator of Nursing provides leadership across nursing and multidisciplinary teams related to education and training across the organisation promoting and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. The position works autonomously and in collaboration with clinical and non-clinical staff to operationally manage, resolve and reduce risks. The role works in collaboration with direct reports to manage the human, financial and material resources within area of specialty / services in accordance with policies, objectives goals and values of the Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG).

This position is responsible for achieving the strategic objectives for nursing education across SCGOPHCG through understanding education sensitive outcomes, contemporary models of education and a nursing workforce commitment to life-long learning and nursing practice development.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
