Are you a detail-oriented Data Analyst seeking a rewarding 3-month contract opportunity within a highly regarded public sector team? We're partnering with a government organisation to find an experienced data analyst to support the finance team in preparing procurement reporting notes for year-end financial statements, in line with Treasurer's Instructions Accounting Policy Statements (APS 101k).

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to prepare procurement reporting notes under APS 101k.

Analyse large financial datasets, focusing on expenditure from contracts over $55,000 (including GST).

Compare and reconcile procurement and financial data to ensure accuracy, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

Prepare financial disclosures, categorising expenditure into SA or Non-SA Business categories.

Maintain supporting documentation to ensure audit compliance and meet standards.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in data analysis and modelling, with the ability to manage large datasets.

Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Database and Excel.

Strong analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate data insights clearly.

Previous experience as a Data Analyst/Modeller in a large commercial or government setting (preferred).

Financial accounting knowledge.

A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to work.
