The Opportunity

This opportunity offers:
- A chance to further develop your expertise in financial systems, systems support, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement
- Collaboration with a variety of internal stakeholders across the department
- A 12-month labour hire contract with a strong likelihood of extension or permanency
- Hybrid working arrangement – up to 2 days WFH per week following the initial onboarding and training period
The Role
In this APS6 role, you will take ownership of a range of financial systems responsibilities and be expected to work independently while supporting strategic and operational objectives. Key duties include:
- Managing and responding to complicated system-related queries and overseeing triage processes to ensure efficient resolution
- Assisting the development and review of financial system (SAP) procedures, documentation, and internal training resources
- Driving the creation and implementation of financial policies and procedures across the department
- Coordinating and delivering project work within the branch, including process improvements and system upgrades
- Managing testing and implementation activities related to system changes and enhancements in SAP and TM1
The Ideal Person
To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current Negative Vetting 1 or Negative Vetting 2 security clearance.
You will be an experienced Financial Administrator or System Accountant with a strong working knowledge of SAP or similar financial systems. Your background may be in finance, systems administration, or similar roles where you’ve been responsible for leading projects or system improvements. You are confident working independently, proactively identifying areas for improvement, and engaging with stakeholders to deliver solutions. Good communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential for success in this role.
Salary / Rate
- $65/hr - $75/hr + 11.5% Super
