With a strong presence across Australia, they are currently undergoing a period of transformation and are seeking additional support in their finance function.

About the Role

In this 3-6 month contract, you'll provide critical support to the finance team during a busy reporting cycle. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll help drive the month-end process and deliver meaningful insights that support informed business decisions. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with month-end close, journals, and reconciliations
• Preparing and analysing monthly management reports
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Performing variance analysis and providing commentary to stakeholders
• Assisting with preparation of year-end accounts and audit support
• Identifying opportunities to streamline reporting and improve efficiency

This is a hands-on role that will suit someone who enjoys both the detail of financial reporting and the broader picture of performance analysis.

About You

You're a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional who's ready to hit the ground running. You're comfortable working independently, but also know when to ask questions and collaborate with the wider team. Ideally, you'll bring:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 2-4 years' experience in a Financial Analyst or Management Accounting roles
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and month-end processes
• Proficiency with Excel (intermediate to advanced level)
• Experience working with large ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work with incomplete data
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) will be highly regarded but not essential
