How you’ll make an impact
In this dynamic and impactful role, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our vibrant community of 7,000+ monthly workers, called Sidekicks, and our HQ team. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketplace & Operations, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping the experience and success of our diverse workforce.

What you’ll do
Sidekicker HQ
Lead the recruitment process for Sidekicker HQ, which includes writing job ads, screening candidates, and helping managers make great hires
Manage a smooth onboarding experience that helps new team members feel welcomed
Collaborate with teams overseeing HR operations, such as payroll and WH&S
Ensure our HR policies and processes remain compliant with employment laws
Be the go-to person for workplace questions and concerns, stepping in to resolve issues promptly, and managing employee relation matters
Support the half yearly performance and remuneration cycle, including preparing data and documentation
Partner with leaders to build and maintain our positive, high-performing culture
Help shape HR initiatives that support both our people and our business goals
Assist with workplace people related projects as prioritised by management
Sidekick Screening and Talent Acquisition
Collaborate with the operations team to create job ads that attract great Sidekicks who match what our clients need
Oversee the Sidekick recruitment and screening process to ensure assessments are designed to identify the specific skillset and experience required for each role
Maintain associated records and documentation and ensure they meet compliance requirements
Collaborate closely with our Safety Specialist to ensure our Sidekicks' safety remains our top priority
Provide input to monthly reporting and management of casual and maximum term workforce compliance documentation
Help foster a positive community for our Sidekicks
About You
Critical Competencies
Stakeholder Communication: Clear, empathetic, and transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders
Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to manage and resolve employee work related issues
Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with employees, leadership, and external partners
Experience & Qualifications
Relevant degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
3-5 years of experience working in HR
Proven experience of end-to-end hiring, preferably in the contingent labour market or platform businesses
Strong foundational knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment labour laws and practices
Experience leading performance and remuneration review processes for assigned teams or business units
Experience in creating and updating HR policies that balance compliance with company culture
Proven ability to track and analyse key HR metrics, providing actional insights for compliance and to drive continuous improvements
