Senior Regulatory Data Analyst – NSW Government

• Up to $610 p/d + super
• 6 month contract with extensions
• Parramatta / WFH

Primary Purpose of the Role

The Senior Regulatory Data Analyst is responsible for developing and managing regulatory performance data frameworks and reporting systems. This role supports the delivery of timely, accurate, and actionable insights to inform regulatory strategy, operations, and policy development.
Key Accountabilities

• Design and implement tools to track and report on regulatory performance and operations.
• Identify data management issues and recommend strategies to improve data capture, quality, and governance.
• Liaise with internal teams and national regulatory bodies to ensure the maintenance of relevant data systems.
• Deliver timely and accurate performance reporting for both regular and ad hoc requirements.
• Conduct complex data analysis to support innovation, policy decisions, and regulatory activities.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, and correspondence to support the directorate’s strategic objectives.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
• Proven experience in data analysis, performance reporting, and data governance in a regulatory or government context.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Understanding of public sector values and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
