About the role
Senior role $120,000 to $170,000 salary.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Flexstaff as the General Manager - Labour Hire. In this full-time position based in Sydney, NSW, you will be responsible for leading and driving the growth of Flexstaff's labour hire business. As the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the labour hire operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to our clients. We are currently looking at opening a new Branch in Sydney, so we are looking for an experienced operator who has great contacts and networks in both Sydney and Brisbane across the vertical and horizontal construction industries.
What you'll be doing
Develop a growth plan for the labour hire division and expand Flexstaff's client base
Hire a team of recruitment consultants and coordinators, providing strong leadership and coaching to drive performance
Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from candidate sourcing and screening to placement and onboarding
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their workforce needs and delivering tailored staffing solutions
Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing data-driven strategies
Ensure compliance with all relevant labour hire regulations and industry best practices
Collaborate cross-functionally with other Flexstaff divisions to provide an integrated service offering, namely in the Sydney and Brisbane regions.
What we're looking for
Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior management role within the labour hire or recruitment industry
Demonstrated track record of growing a successful labour hire or recruitment business
Strong understanding of the recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, screening, and placement
Excellent client relationship management skills and the ability to identify and address client needs
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
Strong commercial acumen and business development skills
Familiarity with relevant labour hire regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
