☕ About the Role

This is more than just pulling shots (though we do love a perfect extraction). As our Head Barista, you’ll be the heartbeat of the café, leading our team with energy, setting high standards, and driving a culture that values learning, creativity, and autonomy.

This is a full-time position based at our sunny Manly café.

💼 What You’ll Be Doing

Leading and inspiring our barista team to deliver consistently top-tier coffee and service

Sharing your know-how to help level up our baristas and team

Managing our coffee program—from liaising with our roasters to dialling in blends, Single Origins and filter coffees

Keeping inventory and ordering smooth and streamlined

Maintaining all coffee equipment

Embracing a work vibe that’s collaborative, fun, and supportive

Being a go-to legend for our guests and an ambassador for the Calibrate Coffee experience

🔍 What We’re Looking For

2+ years experience in a Head Barista or senior role

Deep knowledge of specialty coffee, bean origins, roasting, and blends

Proven leadership and mentoring skills

Excellent customer service and communication

A calm head, great under pressure, and a proactive attitude

Someone who takes pride in their craft and loves sharing it with others
