Job Description

HTS Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics and Procurement Officer to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics and procurement activities in the construction or mining sector. You’ll be working alongside our Brisbane-based logistics partner to support our remote projects.

The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. This position will play an important role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition and distribution of materials necessary for our construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include;

• Liaising with project teams to confirm material and timeframe requirements.
• Working with suppliers and vendors to secure the best terms and build long term relationships. Experience in negotiating contracts would be advantageous.
• Implementing strategies to drive cost-effective acquisition of construction materials.
• Planning and coordinating all logistics activities.
• Working with our logistics partner to coordinate road, air and sea freight to remote locations in Australia and the Pacific.
• Monitoring and reporting on local and site-based inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
• Coordinate with project managers to forecast material requirements and schedule deliveries accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement and logistics activities, including weekly reports.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to support HTS’ project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years experience in procurement, logistics and / or supply chain coordination.
• Proven experience in construction or mining industry (minimum 2 years) with excellent knowledge of constructions materials and their sourcing.
• Experience in logistics to remote or offshore locations would be preferred.
• Proficient in procurement and logistics software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel – this role is based in Brisbane, but infrequent travel to projects may be required.
• Open Drivers Licence.

This is a casual position, primarily based at Northgate. If successful for this role you will be required to complete a pre-employment medical and police check.
