The Role
This isn’t your typical leadership role. As our 2IC and float mentor, you’ll move fluidly through all our spaces – guiding educators, supporting programming, and stepping in wherever your wisdom is needed most. Whether you're with the team during a busy morning, helping fine-tune documentation, or bringing calm and clarity to the office, you'll be the glue that holds our beautiful rhythm together.
You’ll lead with empathy, model reflective practice, and help bring our shared vision to life. And when our Nominator Supervisor is away, you’ll step into their shoes with confidence and care. This is a unique leadership role that offers the chance to work across all spaces of our service. As our 2IC and floating mentor, you’ll support educators in various rooms, guide daily practices, contribute to programming and reflection, and assist with administrative and compliance tasks.
You’ll work closely with the Nominated Supervisor, stepping into leadership when needed and helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting others, loves being hands-on, and is ready to contribute both on the floor and in the office.
Your Day Might Include:
• Mentoring and supporting educators across rooms
• Building strong relationships with children and families
• Contributing to documentation, programming, and compliance tasks
• Taking on administrative duties alongside the Nominated Supervisor
• Supporting a culture of reflection, collaboration, and shared learning

• Are organised, confident, and love bringing people together.
• Hold a Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education and have a solid understanding of EYLF, NQS, and compliance.
• Believe relationships are everything – with children, families, and your team.
