The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and talented Inground Engineer to join our growing team in Sydney. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced Inground Engineer, to design and implement solutions for a variety of challenging projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong foundational knowledge to develop specialised expertise in a supportive and dynamic environment.
As an Inground Engineer, you will:
Design structures in contact with the ground, applying principles of BS 8102:2022.
Ensure designs comply with NCC 2022, specifically clause F1P4, to prevent moisture ingress and protect building elements.
Collaborate with a team of engineers and designers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Interface with complex structural designs and construction sequencing.
Receive mentorship and training from senior engineers to develop expertise in specialised waterproofing.
Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
Prepare technical reports and documentation.
About You:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Strong foundational knowledge of civil/structural engineering principles.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards and codes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A desire to learn and develop expertise in a specialised field.
Bonus Points:
Experience with structural design of buildings.
Knowledge of waterproofing principles and techniques.
Familiarity with BS 8102:2022 and NCC 2022.
