Design & Build are seeking to speak with Remedial Engineers and Building Consultants for one of our clients in the building and engineering consultancy space who work with strata managers, owners corporations, solicitors, and developers to resolve building defects, maintenance issues, and compliance challenges.
Due to a steady flow of work coming in our client is seeking an experienced remedial engineer with consulting experience.

Responsibilities:

• Building Diagnostics & Reporting – Conduct on-site inspections, forensic investigations, and draft Technical Building Reports, Expert Reports, and remedial Scopes of Work for residential, strata, and commercial buildings.
• Contract Administration – Manage building contracts, including site inspections, progress reporting, claim assessments, and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
• Project & Client Management – Oversee project files, maintain documentation, track time allocation, and ensure client satisfaction through clear communication and professional service.
• Tendering & Analysis – Develop tender documents, analyze bids, and assist in selecting contractors for remedial works.
• Professionalism & Compliance – Represent the company professionally, uphold industry standards, care for company assets, and work both independently and collaboratively within a corporate consultancy environment.

About you:

• Minimum of 5 years remedial engineering experience - dealing with existing structures
• Tertiary qualification in either civil, structural or facade engineering
• Experience working for an engineering consultancy
• Ideally have experience working on strata buildings and interpreting plans
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Can provide the necessary diagnostic and professional advice to facilitate resolution
• Experience with site inspections scope of works and specifications to facilitate remediation
• Experience in general building and engineering reports (ingress, waterproofing, cracking, spalling etc).
• Detailed knowledge of Australian standards and the NCC plus the Home Building Act and Home Building Regulations
